Blonde Peat — Block-Cut

Baltic blonde block-cut peat moss. Four granulometries. Standard or pre-corrected pH.

Loose raw material for custom mix formulation. Sphagnum blonde peat moss, block-cut from selected Baltic origins. Available in four granulometries (0–10, 10–40, 20–40, 0–40 mm) and two pH options: standard (3.5–4.5) or pre-corrected (5.5–6.5).

Features

Block-cut extraction preserves the natural fibrous structure of the peat. Air porosity stays intact. Fibrosity is maintained. Water retention remains high. Milled peat — fragmented during extraction — loses structure and compacts more quickly over time: see the full block-cut vs milled peat comparison.

Available in four granulometries: from fine 0–10 mm for seeding to coarse 20–40 mm for long-cycle cultivation. Two pH options: standard (natural acid pH 3.5–4.5) or pre-corrected (pH 5.5–6.5 with dolomitic limestone, ready for direct use in growing mixes). Block-cut peat moss from certified Baltic origins, extracted consistently from the same fields to ensure batch-to-batch quality. 30 years of selected supply chain and over 7 million m³ of substrates produced since 1996.

Arber is an Italian producer of block-cut blonde peat products and professional substrates: peat of Baltic and German origin, from the same fields year after year, produced under the Arber brand. Explore the full range of professional substrates.

Why choose it

  • Sphagnum peat moss from certified Baltic origins. Consistent traceability season after season for stable quality.
  • Block-cut extraction preserves air porosity and fibrosity. Compaction is reduced over time.
  • H2–H4 decomposition degree. High water retention and high cation exchange capacity. Stable across long cycles.
  • Suitable for seeding, propagation, repotting, and landscaping. Formulate your own custom mix.
  • Four granulometries (0–10 / 0–40 / 10–40 / 20–40 mm). Choose the right one for your cycle and container.

Why use it

Universal base for custom mixes

Main component for custom substrate formulation. High water retention and cation exchange capacity for any crop type.

Structural component for long-cycle repotting

Granulometries 10–40 and 20–40 mm ensure drainage and oxygenation in large containers with long permanence.

Seeding, plug trays, and propagation

The 0–10 mm granulometry provides the fine matrix for seeding, plug trays, and propagation mixes.

Block-cut: structure preserved

Block-cut extraction keeps the natural fibrous structure of sphagnum peat intact. Batch after batch.
