Features
Taleas S5 is the Arber professional substrate for propagating green and hardwood cuttings. The medium-fine structure combines Baltic blonde peat 0–5 mm, brown peat 0–5 mm, and perlite. This gives uniform contact with the cut surface and calibrated water retention for the first weeks of rooting.
Integrated sand speeds up drainage and prevents waterlogging in propagation trays. The low conductivity (0.4–0.6 mS/cm) protects the cutting from salt stress before the root callus forms. The PG Mix starter fertiliser is dosed at a low level to support root initiation without raising the salt profile. The wetting agent allows the propagation root zone to re-wet evenly after drying cycles.
Taleas S5 suits both summer green cuttings and autumn-winter hardwood cuttings, in plug trays and propagation boxes. The peat is selected from the Baltic countries, consistently from the same fields, to ensure batch-to-batch quality.
