Professional substrate for poinsettias, produced in Germany.
Poinsettia is the Arber substrate for poinsettias: Baltic blonde peat 10–40 mm, German black peat 0–20 mm, wood fiber, perlite, and expanded clay. PG Mix starter fertiliser with NPK 11-19-24+, calibrated for bract development.

Features
Poinsettia is developed specifically for winter forcing cycles of poinsettias in greenhouse production. The medium-coarse structure — built from Baltic blonde peat 10–40 mm and German black peat 0–20 mm, with wood fiber and perlite — maintains consistent drainage even after 6–8 weeks of intensive irrigation. This reduces the risk of root rot.
Integrated expanded clay prevents substrate compaction during repeated irrigation cycles. It keeps porosity stable through the December sales window. The PG Mix starter fertiliser is calibrated with NPK 11-19-24+ — high in phosphorus and potassium — to support bract development and colour intensity. These are key commercial factors for this crop.
Poinsettia is suitable for pots from Ø 14 cm upward, the standard format for poinsettias sold through florists and retail chains. Selected peat from Baltic and German origins, consistently from the same fields, ensures lot-to-lot quality continuity.

Why choose it
- Medium-coarse structure with particles 10–40 mm: fast drainage and reduced risk of root rot in the pot.
- Perlite + expanded clay: maintain aeration after 8–10 weeks of intensive greenhouse irrigation, critical during the forcing phase.
- pH 5.2–6 and EC 0.6–1 mS/cm: profile calibrated for poinsettias.
- Fertilisation with elevated phosphorus and potassium: supports bract development and colour intensity.
- Formulated and produced in Germany: quality continuity from selected peat, consistently from the same extraction sites.
