Gerani is the Leader potting mix developed specifically for geraniums, surfinias and other flowering balcony plants. The blend combines blonde peat, black peat, fertiliser and wood fiber. This nutrient-enriched formula with a fine-medium structure supports healthy rooting and abundant flowering throughout the season.
Use it for the spring repotting of geraniums in pots and balcony boxes, surfinias, petunias, calibrachoa, lobelias and other long-flowering plants. The fine-medium structure retains the right level of moisture without compacting, while the enriched fertiliser supports the plant during intense flowering. For geraniums planted in the ground, choose a soil-amendment substrate instead.
For acid-loving plants, vegetables or orchids, choose a dedicated potting mix. Packaged in Italy using selected German peat, consistently from the same fields, batch after batch.

When to use it
Suitable for the spring repotting of geraniums in pots and balcony boxes, surfinias, petunias, calibrachoa, lobelias and other flowering plants. Use from late March to early May, before the period of intense flowering begins.
How to use it
- Fill the bottom of the pot or balcony box with a 3 cm drainage layer of expanded clay or volcanic Lapillus.
- Add Gerani up to 2 cm below the rim, leaving space for watering.
- Transplant the geraniums with the crown at soil level. Space plants 20–25 cm apart in balcony boxes.
- Water thoroughly immediately after repotting. In summer, water early in the morning or late in the evening, when temperatures are lower, to avoid heat stress.
- For prolonged flowering: supplement with a liquid fertiliser for flowering plants every 10–15 days during the season.
