Features
When you seed in summer, evaporation accelerates and seeds risk drying out between irrigations. DX Summer addresses this with a fine structure (Baltic brown peat and blonde peat, 0–5 mm) that balances seed contact and water retention capacity. The higher proportion of brown peat compared to standard 50/50 substrates provides an extra water buffer, reducing dehydration stress during peak summer heat.
The PG Mix starter fertiliser supports the first growth phase. The wetting agent allows uniform rewetting of the seeding zone after the faster drying cycles typical of the season. DX Summer works for both container seeding and tray seeding during the summer season. The peat comes from selected Baltic origins, consistently from the same fields, to ensure batch-to-batch quality continuity.
Technical specifications
| Structure | Fine |

| Granulometry | 0-5 mm |
| pH | 5.5–6.5 |
| EC | 0.6–1 mS/cm |
| Dry bulk density | 162–198 g/L |
Why choose it
- Fine granulometry 0–5 mm: uniform germination even with daily summer temperature variation.
- Higher share of brown peat: water buffer for 48–72 hours in intense heat, reducing irrigation frequency.
- pH 5.5–6.5 and EC 0.6–1 mS/cm: neutral profile for summer container seeding.
- Dry bulk density 162–198 g/L: substrate stays moist without compacting in a warm seedling environment.
- PG Mix starter fertiliser + root biostimulant: supports root development in germinating seedlings.
