Professional products Sowing and pressed plugs DX-OX
Professional substrate for pressed plugs, with an additive that balances water and air in the germination zone.
DX-OX is the Arber substrate with a superfine 0–7 mm structure (Baltic blonde peat and brown peat), developed for pressed plugs. The additive optimises water and gas exchange during compression and supports root emergence in the early stages.

Features
DX-OX is the Arber professional substrate with a superfine structure, developed specifically for forming pressed plugs. The structure is built from Baltic blonde peat 0–7 mm and brown peat 0–7 mm. It includes an additive that preserves the mechanical cohesion of the compressed plug while keeping water and gas exchange stable.
This works together with the PG Mix starter fertiliser, calibrated for the root emergence phase (low-N, high-K formula). It reduces root asphyxiation stress, which is the main risk in high-density pressed plugs. The wetting agent supports the first rehydration of the plug after pressing.
DX-OX is developed for propagation operations that use pressed plugs as a standard process format. The peat is selected from Baltic origins, consistently from the same fields, to ensure batch-to-batch quality continuity.

Why choose it
- Fine 0–7 mm structure: stable contact with the pressed plug during drying.
- Integrated water-retention additive: better water retention in the plug under infrequent irrigation.
- pH 5.5–6.5 and EC 0.4–0.8 mS/cm: low salinity for sensitive seeding.
- Density 260–270 g/L: full substrate body, stable mechanical cohesion for pressed plugs.
- PG Mix starter fertiliser with a potassium focus: balanced nutrition for the first root phase.
