Features

Controller Lumaca Leader is a natural product of mineral origin. It is based on sepiolite, a silicate known for its high absorption capacity. By drawing moisture from the soil surface, it creates a dry layer that slugs and snails find unpleasant. To avoid dehydration, they move away from the treated area.

Apply it around your plants in a 3–4 cm strip. It is especially effective for potted plants, where moisture tends to concentrate. The product contains only substances permitted in natural and organic growing. It is made from hydrated magnesium silicate with a granulometry of 2.5–4 mm and a pH of 8.

Why choose it

  • Natural sepiolite (hydrated magnesium silicate) — 100% mineral origin.
  • Physical action: creates a dry mineral barrier that slugs naturally avoid, with no chemical residues.
  • Apply in a 3–4 cm strip around your plants — suitable for potted plants as well.
  • Contains only substances permitted in natural and organic growing
  • 1 KG bag

How to use it

  1. Clear the area to treat and identify the plants at greatest risk (young transplants, leafy vegetables).
  2. Apply a 3–4 cm strip of sepiolite around the base of each plant or along the perimeter of the area you want to protect.
  3. For potted plants: spread sepiolite over the substrate surface and around the pot.
  4. Reapply after heavy rain or heavy irrigation that may compact the sepiolite layer.
  5. Combine with other natural control practices (hand removal, traps) in heavily infested gardens.

FAQs

Is Controller Lumaca a plant protection product?

No. Controller Lumaca is a natural product of mineral origin based on sepiolite (hydrated magnesium silicate). It works by physical action — it draws moisture from the soil and creates a dry layer that slugs find unpleasant — not by chemical action. It contains only substances permitted in natural and organic growing and carries the organic certification logo.

Can I use it in the vegetable garden during fruiting?

Yes. Sepiolite is an inert mineral. It releases no residues on the plant or fruit, does not interfere with the biological cycle of the garden, and has no withholding period. Apply it around your plants when you see the first signs of slug activity, such as chewed leaves in the morning.

How does it perform after rain?

Sepiolite continues to work after moderate rainfall. It keeps absorbing soil moisture and rebuilds the dry layer as soon as the surface dries again. After heavy rain or heavy irrigation that compacts the layer, apply a fresh strip.
