Features

Controller Afid works with a dual action: it repels insects from the plant and inhibits their feeding, reducing damage to tender plant parts. Plant extracts and essential oils create a repellent barrier that protects leaves and shoots without synthetic insecticides.

Apply in the early evening, wetting leaves and shoots evenly and avoiding run-off. You can use it on vegetables, fruit crops and ornamental plants, both in containers and in open ground. Do not mix it with copper-based products, sulphur, alkaline-reaction products or oil-based products. If you combine it with other treatments, always run a compatibility test on a few leaves before applying to the whole crop.

Why choose it

  • Protects leaves and shoots from feeding damage caused by aphids, whiteflies, thrips and psyllids.
  • Reduces damage to tender plant parts with no toxic residues on fruit or vegetables.
  • Use on vegetables, fruit crops and ornamental plants, in containers or in open ground.
  • No Gas spray with no chemical propellants — apply in the evening for best results and leaf safety.
  • It is not a plant protection product. It is formulated as a plant-based detergent under Reg. CEE 648/2004.

FAQs

Is Controller Afid a plant protection product?

No. The label states clearly that Controller Afid is not a fertiliser and not a plant protection product. It is a plant-based detergent under Reg. CEE 648/2004 with a repellent effect. It works on the plant as a deterrent for aphids, whiteflies, thrips and psyllids. It is not a registered plant protection product (PMC) against any specific disease or pest.

Can I use it on vegetable crops during fruiting?

Yes. You can use it on vegetables, fruit crops and ornamental plants. Apply in the early evening to avoid leaf scorch and avoid run-off. For edible crops, allow a few days between treatment and harvest, and rinse fruit before eating.

Is Controller Afid permitted in organic farming?

The Controller Afid label does not carry an organic certification claim. Reg. CEE 648/2004 (detergent category) does not automatically mean compatibility with organic farming. If you need a Bio-certified product for natural protection, choose Controller Funghi (natural biostimulant under Reg. CE 834/2007) or Olio di Neem.
