Hobby products Plant care and protection Orchid Fertiliser
Liquid NPK 3.5-1.5-2 fertiliser for abundant and long-lasting orchid blooms.
Leader Orchid Fertiliser is a liquid inorganic NPK 3.5-1.5-2 fertiliser with micronutrients (Boron, EDTA chelated Manganese, Molybdenum) and a low chloride content. Developed for Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, Dendrobium and other epiphytic orchids. 1 kg bottle with dosing cap.
Features
Dosage and frequency: dilute 1 dosing cap (20 g) in 2 litres of water. Apply once a week in spring and summer. Apply once every 15 days in autumn and winter, only when needed. For orchids, water by submerging the pot or spray the solution onto exposed aerial roots. Avoid the crown. The liquid formula ensures fast root uptake. Visible results appear within 2–3 weeks as more intense flowering.
The NPK 3.5-1.5-2 formula includes micronutrients (Boron, EDTA chelated Manganese, Molybdenum) and has a low chloride content. The higher nitrogen level supports vegetative growth and the extended flowering typical of epiphytic and semi-epiphytic orchids. Chelated micronutrients prevent chlorosis and nutrient lockout, which are common problems in pot cultivation.
Suitable also for vegetables, fruit and viticulture. For plants with different needs — succulents, geraniums, citrus, acid-loving plants — the Leader range includes family-specific fertilisers with calibrated NPK ratios.
Why choose it
- Higher nitrogen (3.5%) supports strong vegetative growth and extended flowering with more intense colour.
- Chelated micronutrients (Manganese EDTA) and trace elements (Boron, Molybdenum) prevent chlorosis and nutrient lockout common in pot-grown orchids.
- Low chloride content — safe for the sensitive aerial roots of orchids.
- Liquid formula with dosing cap: 1 cap = 20 g. Fast to apply. Visible uptake within 2–3 weeks.
- Developed for Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, Dendrobium, Oncidium and other epiphytes. NPK ratio is optimised for their growth cycle. 1 kg bottle.
How to use it
- Open the dosing cap of the Orchid Fertiliser and fill it to the line (1 cap = 20 g).
- Pour the contents into 2 litres of water and mix.
- Water by submerging the pot (recommended for orchids grown in bark) or spray the solution onto the aerial roots.
- Avoid wetting the crown and pseudobulbs. Orchids are sensitive to moisture retention.
- Apply once a week in spring and summer. Apply in autumn and winter only when needed.
