What does “EU Reg. 2018/848” mean on the Leader Bio label?
Regulation (EU) 2018/848 is the European regulation on organic production and labelling of organic products, in force since 1 January 2022. It replaces the previous Reg. EC 834/2007. It defines which raw materials, production processes, and active ingredients may be used in certified organic farming. All Leader Bio products are formulated with raw materials and active ingredients compliant with this regulation, and the label carries the wording alongside the BIO label.
Can I use Leader Bio on a certified organic farm?
Leader Bio products are formulated to comply with EU Regulation 2018/848. For use on a certified organic farm — not just for home vegetable gardens — always check the label of the specific batch and, if needed, request compliance documentation via the contact page. Compliance with the regulation is declared on the label of each individual SKU; your certification body may request this documentation during an inspection.
Is Tripla Azione Plus a plant protection product?
No. Tripla Azione Plus is a strengthener: a product based on horsetail and nettle plant extracts that reinforces plant tissues and improves their resistance to fungal diseases and insect attacks. It is not a synthetic plant protection product and does not require a licence. Apply by spraying at 30 cm from the plant in spring and summer every 10–15 days as a preventive measure, or every 7–10 days in the event of infestation. Wait at least 48 hours before harvesting.
Is Bio Hortus the same as Bio Fruit?
No, they are two substrates with different calibrations. Bio Hortus is formulated for home vegetable gardens in containers and open ground, with nutrients and pH calibrated for the most common vegetable crops (tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, salad leaves). Bio Fruit is formulated for home citrus and fruit trees, with pH and nutrient calibration suited to organic fruit crops. Both comply with EU Regulation 2018/848 and use raw materials permitted in organic farming.
