Quality

The same substrate, batch after batch.

Same extraction sites, traced raw materials, checks on every formula. The recipe stays the same year after year.

Supply chain continuity

For 30 years, selected peat has come from the same regulated extraction sites in Lithuania and Germany. Same raw materials, same batch quality. No emergency substitutions that change substrate behaviour mid-cycle.

Documented traceability

Every SKU has a downloadable technical data sheet and SDS. Batch qualification is documented and traceable throughout the entire supply chain, from the extraction site to delivery at your facility.

Checks on every formula

pH, EC and granulometry checks on every batch before dispatch. The formula you receive is the same one that left the laboratory, with tolerances stated in the technical data sheet.

Service

Three things that change the way you work with a substrate supplier

Delivery across Italy, transport included, agronomic support. No mandatory full truckloads, no surprises on the invoice.

Delivery across Italy

Order smaller volumes without the full-truckload requirement. The same service for the local garden centre and the national nursery.

Transport included in the price

The price you receive is the price you pay. Delivery included to your gate. No surprise surcharges on the invoice, no separate transport costs to reconcile at the end of the month.

Agronomic support

Your regional agent supports you with formula selection, pilot trials in the greenhouse and mid-cycle issues. Substrate and technical support in one package, not a bag-and-go.

Sustainability

Regulated extraction. Selected supply chain. Peat-free ranges in development.

The peat used in the formulas comes from regulated extraction sites in Lithuania and Germany, worked continuously year after year to ensure consistent batch quality.

The German part of the supply chain is HORTICERT certified, the scheme that verifies ecological, social and economic sustainability across the entire supply chain for peat, peat substitutes and substrates. Selected professional raw materials are certified under the RAL quality assurance procedure of the Gütegemeinschaft Substrate für Pflanzen. Raw materials used in the organic ranges are included in the FiBL list.

At the same time, Arber is working towards a gradual reduction in the peat share: peat-reduced ranges are already in the catalogue, and peat-free formulas are in development for the hobby segment and selected professional segments.
